Mercy Ndegwa

Mercy is an accomplished CEO with a successful track record in the Insurance Industry. Having worked with three previous underwriters, and with over twenty-five (25) years’ of experience, Mercy has reached the helm of her Career at The Monarch Insurance Company, where she is the CEO and Principal Officer. With her strategic leadership, she has played a pivotal role in steering the company towards sustained growth, regulatory compliance, and upholding the highest ethical standards. She possesses very strong leadership, decision making, financial management, stakeholder relations and customer service skills.


Backed by an MBA in Strategic Management, a Professional Diploma in Marketing, a Diploma in Insurance and a Customer Service Diploma, Mercy brings a unique blend of strategic acumen, hands-on leadership, and customer focus to drive The Monarch Insurance’s success in the dynamic insurance landscape. In her current role, she is actively involved in regulatory compliance, risk management, strategic leadership, and financial oversight, ensuring Monarch Insurance’s long-term goals align with its vision, mission, and core values.

Moses Gatundu

Moses is a detail-oriented accountant with over thirty (30) years’ experience with wide knowledge of accounting and finance in the Insurance Industry. 

Moses holds a Bachelor of Science (Bsc.) Business Administration from the United States International University (USIU). He is a qualified accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

He also undertook the Senior Managers Leadership Programme (MSLP) at Strathmore University amongst other courses.

Peter Mochama

Peter brings his experience of over twenty-five (25) years’ in the Insurance Industry built on a backbone of underwriting expertise leading our Underwriting, Reinsurance, Customer Service and Claims departments.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, Insurance from the University of Nairobi, a Diploma, and an Advanced Diploma, Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute of London.

He has also completed the Program for Management Development with both the Gordon Institute of Business Science, Pretoria, South Africa and Strathmore University.

Geoffrey Munywoki

Geoffrey is a multi-skilled ICT specialist with over ten (10) years’ experience in the Insurance Industry. 

He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science and Information Systems Graduate from Multimedia University He also holds various ICT certifications with major interests on information security and management. He is and currently pursuing MSc cyber security in an abroad university.

He is a member of the Computer Society of Kenya, licentiate member of Managing Information Systems (LIMIS-UK), member National Computing Council (UK), Systems Security certified practioner. Master in Digital Marketing (e-skills).

 

 

winnie Njoroge

Winnie is a seasoned Talent Leader with a wealth of experience in driving performance-oriented cultures. 

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management.

She is equipped with skills in Performance Management, HR Data Analysis, and Labor Law Compliance, with a proven track record in optimizing HR functions and ensuring compliance.

 

 

Alex Omollo

Alex is a highly reliable professional with over twenty (20) years’ experience in the Insurance industry, specializing in Pension and Life Management. He is a Member of the Insurance Institute of Kenya (IIK) and Chartered Institute of Insurance.

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Corporate Finance from University of Dallas and Bachelor of Commerce (Bcom) from the University of Nairobi.

 

 

Ronald Gogi

Ronald is a highly motivated and reliable professional with over fifteen (15) years’ experience in the Insurance Sales Industry. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Insurance.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Bcom) majoring in Accounting from Moi University. 

 

Luke Munene

Luke is an aspiring Actuary of the society of the Actuaries and the Actuarial Society of Kenya with over ten (10) years’ experience in the Insurance Industry.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and is also an Alumni of the Young Insurance professionals’ program where he emerged among the top students in the African Continent.

He is also a trained ESG specialist and has contributed to key developments in the sustainability and climate risks insurance space.

 

Rosemary Gaceri

Rosemary is a dedicated, detail-oriented and highly skilled professional lawyer with over ten (10) years’ experience in a wide variety of legal areas. She is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya. 

She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) Hons and Master of Laws (LL.M) in International and Commercial Law (World Trade Specialist), both from the University of Buckingham and a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. 

She also holds Certificates in Introduction to; Corporate Finance, Financial Accounting, Marketing and Operations Management from Wharton – University of Pennsylvania. 

 
 

Bridgit Kamau

Bridgit Kamau is a highly reliable professional with over ten (10) years’ experience in the Insurance Industry in Claims. She is an Associate of the Institute of Insurance (AIIK).

She holds an Economics Degree from the Egerton University, Diploma in Insurance from the College of Insurance as well as certification in Leadership from Strathmore Business school.

She is currently enrolled at The Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusting undertaking a Diploma in Loss Adjusting.

 
 

Naom Nyamwaya

Naom is a highly seasoned audit professional with over fifteen (15) years’ experience. She has worked in a global accounting and audit firm where she was involved in auditing companies in various industries. She is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) & Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).  

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) and Master of Science (Msc.) in Finance from The University of Nairobi.
